While working as the Human Resource Manager of a manufacturing operation, I was introduced to Kelvin. The company was on its way to having a Workwell Audit and we were spending a significant amount of money on legal fees fighting issues that had gone to WSIB’s Tribunal. Our lawyer thought that it would be fortuitous to address WSIB issues in a more proactive manner and that I should seek out Kelvin for assistance. Within the first year, he had saved the company significant amounts of money by bringing previously injured employees back to work. Sometimes it involved a specific return to work program, sometimes it involved managing the WSIB processes. The Cartwright Group Ltd has a prevention culture and Kelvin provides progressive disability management strategies to support it. I would strongly recommend Kelvin to any company looking to successfully work their way through the WSIB maze or for assistance with solutions to potential workplace injuries.

One of my earliest memories upon joining Engineered Air was my manager telling me he couldn’t manage what he didn’t know, emphasizing the importance of reporting injury. Accommodating temporary injury was ingrained in the culture. When I rose through the ranks and took on the responsibility for maintaining its prevention culture. I discovered the Return to Work Solutions Disability Management Program with its "Win-Win" mandate. Following it, I was able to immediately step into the case management role. As complex issues have arisen, as they sometimes do, I know when and where to call for help.

Our Return to Work Solutions Disability Management Program has guided us through a number of complex situations holding to the principle that minimizing the impact of injury on the worker, minimizes company losses. Our Prevention Culture is improving as we are able to maintain low numbers of Lost Time Injuries and WSIB Costs. Our Program, supported by our Occupational Health and Safety Nurse, has proven it sustainable, defendable and of benefit to everyone. Most recently it excelled when reviewed by our Safety Group’s W.S.I.B. representative during a "Spot check". We received a full and unconditional approval of the Return to Work element.

Return to Work Solutions helped our company develop an effective RTW program which has resulted in substantial cost savings to our bottom line. The advice we have been given over the years with respect to challenging RTW issues has helped to facilitate quicker transitions into the workforce for several of our employees. Kelvin Brown of RTWS is extremely knowledgeable in the area of Occupational Rehabilitation and the WSIB board rules and regulations. If you need competent and reliable assistance in the area of RTW I would highly recommend RTWS.

Kelvin's return to work disability management program has allowed me to guide our firm to consistently high Prevention Performance. Our success in controlling Lost Time Claims has kept our WSIB costs at an industry low for over a decade. His assistance in training the union's officials on the purpose and benefits of the program was critical to our success and has resulted in the level of commitment to Prevention we enjoy. This translates into a major advantage in competing for contracts.
